Welcome to Belém—the neighborhood that launched an empire. This 2.5-hour electric Tuk Tuk tour takes you west of Lisbon’s center, along the Tagus River, where Portugal’s greatest navigators once set sail in search of new worlds.

Starting from Restauradores Square, we ride through the city and down the riverfront to Belém, home to Lisbon’s highest concentration of national monuments. Your guide will share the stories behind the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, a masterpiece of Manueline architecture and resting place of explorer Vasco da Gama, and the Torre de Belém, once the city’s ceremonial gateway.

You’ll pass under the 25 de Abril Bridge, cruise by the Padrão dos Descobrimentos monument, and stop for a photo at the MAAT’s iconic curve. We’ll also visit the original Pastéis de Belém bakery—where the city’s beloved custard tarts were born. (Tarts not included, but the aroma alone is worth the stop.)
